Versace continues its collaboration with Luxury Living Group and contemporary architects and designers, Roberto Palomba and Ludovica Serafini, with an installation at Milano Design Week 2022, where the brand will present its comprehensive home collection and all new outdoor line.
La Medusa sofa
Crossing the impressive threshold of Milan’s Palazzo della Permanente, a dedicated show space is immediately immersive and fully expressive of Versace’s opulent style. Donatella Versace worked with Roberto Palomba and Ludovica Serafini to decipher the brand’s infinite possibilities anew, resulting in a bold and evolving installation space. Red, expressed in the collection in a variety of shades across fabrics, leathers, precious silks and jacquards, is reflected throughout the display. Graphic works and LED walls create a dreamlike scenario, with a continuous flow between art and design.
Designs reimagine Versace brand codes for the home, with an aesthetic non-conformism and interplay of classicism with contemporary seduction that is distinctly Versace, whether though the brand’s fashion or interior design. Versace’s La Greca motif reigns supreme—the iconic pattern, that has been a key feature of Versace fashion collections, appears in interior decor with an almost architectural three-dimensionality. The Venus chair is refreshed with new-look finishes.
The Stiletto collection expands with many new features, here expressed in the purity of total white, as well as sophisticated shades of beige and burnt browns.
The undisputed icon of the installation is the La Medusa collection in an all-new vinyl covering. Sensational and irresistible, this futuristic material brings the energy of the latest Versace fashion show into interior decor. From the La Medusa sofa and Medusa Trono armchair, to the substantial upholstered bed, the line mixes a modern and youthful design and tailoring with beautifully detailed stitching.
The route through the exhibition space of the Palazzo della Permanente concludes in the Secret Garden, where the new Stiletto Outdoor collection is revealed. The base in textured white or bronze-lacquered metal is completed with a three-dimensional weave of fabric straps, coordinated with large, cozy cushions. Cover fabrics explore bold and vivid colors such as lime green, fuchsia, Klein blue and yellow, with the same shades seen on chairs and armchairs.
Outdoor versions of dining and occasional tables are also dedicated to alfresco relaxation.
