PALAZZO TRUSSARDI: DESIGN ENTERS A NEW STAGE

Trussardi Casa celebrates the encounter between fashion and design with an exclusive project reinterpreting their iconic Nebula armchairs, designed for the 2023 collection by Francesca Lanzavecchia. These unprecedented creations arose from a choral collaboration between the designer and the brand, now casted as the protagonists of the special installation “Design Wears Fashion”.  Hosted in the renovated Palazzo Trussardi, in the heart of Milan beside Teatro alla Scala, this is the ideal context for the installation, where art, design, and lifestyle come together in a prestigious space.

The public will be invited to immerse themselves in this celebration of Italian craftsmanship and discover how Trussardi Casa continues to redefine the boundaries of contemporary design.

“DESIGN WEARS FASHION": AN INSTALLATION DEDICATED TO CREATIVE INNOVATION

The event “Design Wears Fashion” explores the boundary between two creative universes – design and fashion – by merging their processes, techniques, and materials in a visual and sensory experience. Through this initiative, Trussardi Casa reaffirms its role as a pioneer in exploring the dialogue between different creative fields, offering an immersive experience that speaks of innovation, tradition, and stylistic audacity.

Four special edition versions of the Nebula armchairs embody this contamination, expressing the sophisticated and innovative language of Trussardi Casa. Each armchair is a tribute to the brand’s sartorial tradition and stylistic experimentation, reinterpreting the codes of fashion through the forms and materials of contemporary design.

THE FOUR SPECIAL EDITIONS: FASHION BECOMES DESIGN

  1. Iconic knitting: A low-back chair wrapped in a soft knit cloak, inspired by garments from the Trussardi Autumn-Winter 2022 collection – an interweaving of comfort and style that enhances the distinctively tactile materials.
  2. The elegance of pleats: In the high-back version, the armchair wears a beige satin drape with pleating that recalls the timeless elegance of the champagne dresses from the Spring-Summer 2023 collection.
  3. Bold asymmetry: Two hybrid versions reinterpret the contours of the Owena bag. The first, in black leather, wraps with a chrysalis design, evoking the organic curves of the accessory. The second, covered with crocodile-effect quilting, recalls the iconic printed leather items from the Spring-Summer 2023 catwalk.
