Dolce&Gabbana Casa - new collection Carretto

“With Dolce&Gabbana Casa we wanted to create a unique lifestyle. A lifestyle that would
represent our core values: craftsmanship, the love of tailoring, the respect of tradition and the
quest for innovation.”
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana

To feel at home: the Dolce&Gabbana Casa Collection, dedicated to the universe of furnishing and furnishing accessories, is a tribute to the excellence of craftsmanship, to Italian design and to the brand’s DNA. The patterns of the Collection’s themes – Carretto Siciliano, Blu Mediterraneo, Leopardo and Zebra – come to life on
furniture, mise en place accessories, fabrics and decorative objects that evoke a story of love and hospitality,
of devotion to beauty, and the art of living the everyday life.

From sofas in fine jacquard to lacquered oak tables, from accessorized bar cabinets to armchairs upholstered in petit point embroidery. The furniture pieces realised in partnership with Luxury Living Group and home accessories of the Dolce&Gabbana Casa Collection present both elements of harmony and contrasts.

The elegant designs and refined materials of the line give life to a unique narrative that gives no limits to creativity. Cushions made of twill, duchesse, velvet, or canvas, with unusual prints or inspired by archive scarves, are coordinated with silk and wool jersey plaids or light printed quilts. The product offering for the table includes, among other creations, hand-painted Sicilian ceramic plates, porcelain printed and glazed by brush sets, that perfectly render the raised effect typical of hand decorations. Trays in hand-finished and lacquered wood, or in printed aluminium, feature the various Collection themes. Hand blown Murano glass decanters and glasses, a tribute to Italian craftsmanship, are available in a selection of different colours. A collection of candles, made even more special by the creativity of the unique packaging, brings the scents and colours of the Mediterranean into the home.

THE THEMES

Carretto Siciliano
With its traditions, landscapes, flavours and distinct colours, Sicily has always been at the heart of the Dolce&Gabbana aesthetic. The elements of the folklore are a symbol and testimony of the great devotion to the crafts of this land: such as the Carretto Siciliano, which from a humble means of transport becomes a work of art and an epic tale of the history of the Island thanks to the skilful touch of the best artisans.

Blu Mediterraneo
From the purity of white to the intensity of blue, Dolce&Gabbana’s Blu Mediterraneo takes the mind on a sensory journey where scents, sounds and sensations give life to a familiar and delicate aesthetic. This particular design, with such an evocative character, has deep roots in Southern Italy: a tribute to the values
of Fatto a Mano and excellent craftsmanship, a priceless heritage to be preserved and handed down.

Leopardo
Always a constant in Dolce&Gabbana’s DNA, the Leopardo pattern expresses a strong character and timeless charm. Its classic and biting soul creates a play of contrasts that gives freedom of expression and ever-new connotations, in balance between eccentricity and refinement, sensuality and energy.

Zebra
Past and future, artisanship and technology, tradition and innovation: the Zebra pattern symbolically summarizes the dualism at the heart of Dolce&Gabbana’s DNA, with its combination of black and white and the arrangement of stripes that are never exactly the same. A graphic pattern of great intensity that combines grit, audacity and a pinch of irony.

THE ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN
The Dolce&Gabbana Casa Collection is presented through a series of images that combine a classic aesthetic and a contemporary sensibility. The first Advertising Campaign of the new line dedicated to the art of home living transports the viewer into a dreamlike dimension where the objects of our everyday life meet inspiration and become pieces of unique design and creativity.
